Still Learning about Virtual Addresses?

What it is:

A real street address with a unique suite number where your mail gets received, scanned, and uploaded to your virtual mailbox. You can view everything online. We hold the physical mail for 1–2 weeks, then securely shred it.

What a virtual address isn’t:

It’s not a PO Box or a physical address you can visit. It’s also not for accepting packages.

Benefits Of Virtual Address

Why Use a Virtual Address?

There are endless ways to use it, depending on who you are and how you work. But at its core, Bizee’s Virtual Address service comes down to two main features each with plenty of flexibility built in.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You’ll use our Personal Virtual Address and should have no problem as long as the mail arrives in your name. As a sole proprietor doing business in their own name, there’s no real difference between your personal activity and that of your contract business.

  • Here, too, you can use our Personal Virtual Address, but unfortunately, you must use your legal name, not your DBA. As a sole proprietor, you can receive mail related to your business. However, the mail must still be addressed to you personally to qualify as personal mail.

  • That’s no problem, as long as they include the suite number and the name is close to the name on the account. This is why it’s crucial for the sender to include the suite number in case we have duplicate names in our system. We also accept common nicknames—Nick for Nicholas—but not a different name altogether.

  • You still need to decide whether the virtual address will be used for your company or for your personal use. Martha Stewart and Martha Stewart, Inc. (short for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc.) are separate legal entities and treated differently in a range of legal and regulatory contexts including virtual addresses. You’ll even notice on the USPS authorization form that it asks if the service is for business or personal use.

  • Yes, we can do this. It’s another case of needing to sign up for Bizee’s Virtual Address service in each state where you want an address and digital mailbox. Indeed, while our online system is fully secure, it’s also customized with a user-friendly experience. Get your mail quickly and reliably without feeling like you have to learn a completely new app.
